W.W.I medical missions commemorative ceremony in Mladenovac (09/10/2009)

Mladenovac Commemoration

Ambassador Wordsworth and DA Colonel Fenn laid a wreath at Crkvenac Monument.

Her Majesty’s Ambassador, Stephen Wordsworth and Defence Attaché, Colonel Nigel Fenn participated at the traditional commemorative event held in Mladenovac, in honour of Dr Elsie Inglis and other members of the allied medical mission, who supported Serbia during W.W.I.

The Ambassador, first, cut the ribbon at the Hall, which will in the future carry the name of Dr Elsie Inglis.  He used the opportunity to remind everybody on Dr Inglis and members of medical missions, as well as of Dr Zarko Vukovic, who kept the memory of those heroines alive.

Afterwards, Ambassador and the Defence Attaché, during the official ceremony, laid a wreath at the monument at Crkvenac.
