Funding opportunities
Our project work
The British Embassy in Serbia, in co-ordination and co-operation with other key international organisations and diplomatic missions, works with(national) governmental and non-governmental partners in managing a portfolio of strategic reform projects.
These are aimed at assisting Serbia on her way towards EU membership and internal and regional stabilisation, as guided by the FCO’ strategic objectives and specific programme frameworks.
“Modus operandi” for the Embassy’s project work implies close and interactive relations with relevant partners in project identification and design. Once a viable proposal has been produced, the Embassy applies for funding at central level (London-based programme units). Over £1,5m annually is thus invested by the UK Government (large DFID assistance portfolio excluded)in helping shape a better future for Serbia.
